Personally I have never really liked Zonealarm, since i have had quite some problems with it, in terms of blocking certain programs without notifying first, or sometimes my whole internet acces.

The best personal firewall is in my opinion, Comodo, easy to use and pretty powerfull, never had any problems.

I've heard numerous people say that Norton's programs have security holes. I don't use it myself, so I wouldn't know.

I don't use a firewall anymore, but i know Norton tries to make you think you are going to get a virus when it is about to expire, making it untrustworthy. I also recommend Comodo Firewall. It is i free and better than ZoneAlarm (which is a b*tch to uninstall...).

just get a router with a firewall on it, then you won't have to worry.
