that this is a research project on placebo affect and you are all unknowing subjects?

no my friend, there is no way this is plaecbo. I was thinking it was a possibility at first, but not after the effects I have felt.

Your statement makes no sense. Achieving effects does not rule out placebo in any way. In fact, I am willing to bet %50+ of I-Doser's method relies on set.

i just dont feel that it could be, well, I take back my statement, Im sure some of it could have to do with placebo, but it just seems like

Fuck it, I have no clue how to explain my thoughts, haha

Even if its an placebo effect I think people will still be willing to use it for fun etc, or the feeling. At least its better then doing real hard drugs and them bad a** real stuff out there.. << At least it's my opinion.

^I-Doser isn't any better or worse for you than "hard drugs" assuming they are used in a responsible fashion.

^Cocaine doesn't precipitate physical withdrawals. Cocaine addiction is a psychological thing. I-Doser has the same potential.

Isn't the very definition of a placebo "Something that tricks the brain into rendering a desired affect"?

Now, let's take what binuaral beats (which is what I-Doser does) do, they modify the brain's current state through sensory input. If a beat sequence mimics the effect of an anti-depressant by using sound, and it has that affect on the brain, wouldn't that be "tricking" the brain; so the speak?

When people dismiss binuaral beats as only a placebo, they are generally using only one interpretation of "placebo"- the idea that "Oh, they just read it, listen to some noises, and go 'Yeah! I really felt that!!!', but only because that's what they WANTED to feel." They don't look at it like "Hm, so the soundwaves are tricking the brain into *insert effect here*".

It's not a placebo... at least, not 100%. I can put my mp3 player on shuffle, not look at the screen, not recognize the dose by it's sounds, and still get the effect. But because I didn't know which dose I was taking, it rules out the placebo effect.

not only that, i didnt know what the effects of certain drugs are, like heroin... And after seeing that the effects that i got and the effects of the real drug matched... Well, i guess that that does rule out the placebo part

I said it was about 50/50 placebo. That's for your average person. Some people will be sensitive to entrainment, others like me insensitive to it.
