This is my first post but I've been around reading for 1 month'ish.. forgot my password and found out that i need my username AND my e-mail to get a new password... go me!
So yeah... I've been wondering something tho, Why the dark and lay down thing... I mean... it's sound.... It wouldn't go to your sub-conscient (bad english but I'm trying).
For those saying it's a placebo, here is what i have to say to you. If you haven't ever taken heroin for example, and you listen to the Heroin dose and the effect you get match ± heroin in real life.. how could it be a placebo...
But back to the sound... I'm just wondering if the dark and lay down envirronment is SUCH important... Either way it'd be cool to create a dose or a way for the dose to go directly to your brain so you wouldn't have to have your eyes closed while feeling the effect of your dose. Just my toughts.

I'm somewhat certain there is no connection. I have a cousin who feels only minor effects, and a friend who really went crazy on nitrous the first time. Both have very similar IQs.Ness wrote:^I doubt it, although I suppose it's possible. I have a high IQ and am resistant to I-Doser. Don't know if theres any connection, though.

Not sucking up but ness is right in every way.
ALL drugs can be safe WITHIN reason and safely taken in the right enviroment.
I guess you people are thinking "Oh all the druggies are drop outs"
Yes that is correct only on a small scale.
I go to a boarding school in the UK (i'm 17) last year and nearly everyone in my class and room have taken LSD, ExTc, and cocaine. Excluding Marijuana. (Marijuana is used so reguraly. Did you know 1 in 20 People in the UK have taken It)
It's is partly placebo and partly reality. I have felt nothing and yet i'm still sticking up for Idoser

Not really. I did something which basically proved--to me, at least--that it wasn't placebo. Simply put, I put a bunch of idosers on my playlist and hit shuffle, and didn't look at the screen. The thing is, I felt different effects every time--and when I checked the screen (after the dose was done), the effects matched up with that dose, even though I didn't actually know what dose it was until after I felt the effects.whereisthehare wrote:that this is a research project on placebo affect and you are all unknowing subjects?
i suppose though, that if this was true, you could sue the owners of the company for larceny by trick

Did you listen to the doses before? If you did there's a chance your subconcous might have remembered the sound and the feeling that went with it, in which case that almost confirms it is a placebo.godincarnate1222 wrote: Not really. Try some doses that you haven't tried before and see if you get the same result.
(by the way I'm not against you particularly I'd just rather see it done properly)
To get back to the original question... This, if it is an "experiment", with us as subjects, it would hold very little weight with the scientific community, as the "control" is non-existant. Also, it's widely known that, as a whole, people in large groups are "dumber" than as individuals. This is largely due to communication issues. "Science and Technology", regardless of what you've been told, is actually doing more harm to "our" society that it is doing good. If you don't believe me, feel free to flame me. Call me names, insult my family, get racial, whatever you want. Then come over to my house and see if you've got the stones to say the same things to my face. [/img]
Your basically saying collectivist attitudes are dumbing people down.. Certain technologies increase the amount of collectivism in our society. Makes sense to me.carlsoti wrote:To get back to the original question...
