Whats the problem?!

Post by Eclipse27 »

I am doing everything correctly, yet I havn't gotten anything out of these doses. Ive tried A-bomb, morphine, alcohol, ecstasy and peyote. Nothin from any of them. Now if the way they claim these binaural beats work is true, then it would work for everyone.

Does it require getting used to or what the hell is the issue here? Is it because I'm skeptical?

That really isn't true. I'm sure this works for SOME people.

So that would prove then this is nothing but placebo. I'm sure if it is something as simple as brainwave frequencies, all people would be affected by it. If someone can give me a scientific answer as to why it would only work on some people (not being placebo that is) then i'll be satisfied.

People have different capacities to concentrate, some are more susceptible to placebo than others, some people's brains might (for whatever reason) be more resistant to entrainment than others, and if your hearing is better in one ear than the other, it could potentially affect the results.

From what I've seen this seems to work better on young children. It seems that more people can't get it to work than those who can. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm saying that when it does, its placebo.

I'm not sure that you can just write it off as a placebo effect that easily. If in fact it is just brainwave frequencies, then a lot of factors can play a part in whether or not this will work for you. If you don't allow the noises to affect you, then it won't work. There is no claim that this will force your brainwave frequencies to different levels, you have to learn to let it do that. The only way I find this to be effective for me is to be very relaxed and try and not to think about a whole lot. I can assure you what I felt when trying the Peyote dose was far from a placebo effect.

When dealing with things this vague, there's no real way to discern the difference between effects brought about by the dose, the placebo effect, and deep meditation. You really can't say with confidence that what you experienced wasn't placebo.

People are saying you have to believe it will work. How the hell am I supposed to do that after it has failed 10 times?

Have you considered maybe your not doing it correctly? Are you taking the steps that are needed?

If a dose doesn't work, try thinking of things your missing. turn the volume up louder, maybe. try placing a cloth over your eyes during the daytime, and during the night-time, turn off the lights. spread your limbs apart or relax more. little things like these can contribute to a pleasant dosing.

If it still doesn't work, I agree with Ness. Some people don't experience doses because their brains are different, but you can't be ready to mark it off as a placebo without searching for a solution first.
