Doesn't work for me?

Post by TheWonkits »

Is it possible I'm immune?
I mean... I get extremely mild effects from i-doser... But they're the same for each dose.
All I get is a few minutes of random/disturbing images flashing through my mind while I'm listening to the dose. But that happens to me anyways.

Maybe I-Doser just isn't for me... I've got ADD, severe (debilitating) ADHD, OCD, and mild Schizophrenia. I think that due to my ADHD, I'm too distracted while listening to it...
I'm also a very itchy person. After about 5 minutes, I get about 3 extremely irritating itches across my body, and they don't go away even if I do the whole "counting breaths" focusing excersize...
And also, is my consciousness supposed to change at all while I'm listening to the dose? Like in hypnosis, where you go semi-unconcious and "get into it"? Because I feel something like that after about 20 minutes, but it only lasts a couple seconds because as soon as the feeling hits me, I become aware that it hit me and I immediately think about it, which makes it go away almost instantly.
Here are the doses I've tried:
LSD
Out of Body
Orgasm
Gate of Hades
Condition+CocaineQH

And yes, they're legitimate doses.
I also take all the recommended measures for increasing effects... Lying in a dark room, blanket, no noise or distractions, and I have good quality stereo DJ Headphones with a frequency response of 14 - 19,000 Hz. They also cover the entire ear comfortably.

The doses do give me headaches, though... If that can count as an effect.... :/

Edit: I also have perfect hearing, as well. I'm an audio technician, and I have to be able to hear very well in order to master songs and such... My hearing hasn't been worn down either, I'm 16. I can still hear that "ringtone that only teenagers can hear".
So my ears aren't unusually limited by frequency range either...

Even if you can't concentrate ADD shouldn't be stopping you. You need to stop focusing on focusing and just relax. Even if you feel like you can't.

My friend with ADD gets them fine. His ADD gives him anger management problems and he's still fine. I have anxiety, do you see how that's irrelevant?

Have you tried doses multiple times? How long have you been dosing? We need this info or we can't help.

I've been dosing for about 3-4 days now, and yes I've tried the same doses twice. I'm just not getting anything.

And while I'm listening to the dose, I'm not focusing on focusing... That thought might pop into my head once every 10 minutes or so, but for the most part, my mind is more clear than I've ever gotten it before... But it still wanders everywhere. Even with the breath counting excersize, I just end up thinking about whether or not the counting is working, while I'm counting. And then there's always an image of some kind running through my mind, even while I'm doing those two things.
I've never really had much luck in being passionate about things or "getting into" something, because I get really self-aware of it happening...
And when a thought enters my head, I can always get rid of it in a couple seconds by focusing, but as soon as I do, it's replaced by another one, and the cycle continues...

Note: I even tried GoH while stoned, and got nothing. When the 'climax' of GoH hit, I got a little antsy for a few seconds, but then went back to normal...

Im sorry, but the way you discribed yourself totally made me picture you looking like Alan from The Hangover... but seriously, just keep trying. If you've only been dosing for a a few days now is no time to give up. If your having trouble relaxing then practice meditaion, and it probably wouldn't hurt just searching on google " how to obtain deep relaxation"

Oh. Haha. Nothing wrong going on here, your over thinking it for 1. It's not THAT delicate a process. And even more important you need to give it more time. 3-4 days is nothing. It takes some people up to 2 months to get a dose working.

It took me about a week and a half- two weeks. If you expect it to work right away and think your immune then your setting yourself up for failure.

Off topic: I know this has terrible grammar and spelling. I'm on my itouch.

It took me a few months to get them to work. I got frustrated and left it alone for awhile until I remembered it, and got it again and now they're starting to work for me.

I suggest trying a different dose. For me, Alcohol is the easiest to get working.

Also maybe try it without the blanket. I find having a blanket on (unless its very cold and that's distracting me) turns out to be a distraction itsself. Doesn't hurt to try.

Some people lay in the position they fall asleep in and have better results (I'm going to experiment with that myself later).

Look on relaxation techniques. You can be laying in bed and not be relaxed. I find myself tensing up when I'm anticipating a dose too much, and it ends up not working properly.
