Using Doses User Made Tutorial
Ok im starting this thread cos info on the best ways or methods of using the doses is spread all over the forum. This way itl all be in one place so any newcomers can get it at a glance.
It obviously aint definitive, just my own personal methods, so if anyone wants to add to this their own, think ive missed something, or disagree, then feel free to reply
Ok, first up you need to use the actual DRG files, not an audio recording of them. MP3's, WAV's or WMA's etc just wont work.
Different people have different preferences as to lighting, sitting/lying etc. Basically, whatever allows you to focus as much as possible on the audio is what you should do to get the best result. So if you can focus with the lights on without getting distracted, then do it. Same goes for having your eyes open/closed. Whichever allows you personally to focus better AND comfortably, you should do.
Make sure you wont be disturbed, I was doing a dose yesterday and my phone rang and scared the crap out of me I almost fell of the bed . So time it when not expecting anyone, and turn of anything that might make a sudden noise.
Before you start, relax. Meditate if you want. Breathing exercises work wonders! Take a good 5minutes minimum to chill before hitting play.
Dont remove the headphones, break mid-dose, or stop for any reason unless you want to end the dose. If you do you will lose the effect, even if you get to 75% ( btw you shouldnt be looking at your moniter to check the % lol ) and decide it aint working, dont stop. Most doses seem to kick in right near the end.
Finally, if it doesnt work first time dont give up. Think of it as being akin to meditation, the first time you meditate you likely wont get any results and you have to keep going back and practicing, its the same here. Its hard to focus for that length of time on these tracks, keep at it.
Like I said, anyone wants to add to this feel free

alright, here are some steps that i use to help me dose up
1) Lie down where you normally administer the dose, hopefully within reaching distance of your computer. Same setting as recomended by the site: dim lights, quiet area, no distractions.
2)Before administering the dose, just lay there and relax. Allow your mind to clear and try not to think about anything.
3)Slowly relax every muscle in your body. Physically feel every single one relax, starting at your toes, working up your legs and body, down through your arms to your finger tips, up your spine, up your neck and head and finally your face. Again, physically feel each muscle relax and take your time.
4)Count slowly backwards from ten. With each number feel your mind and body relax even more. Just sink into your bed and relax, don't think about anything but relaxing.
5)Slowly and carefully reach over and activate your dose. Try not to move too much but stay in that relaxed state. Then, just listen to the dose like you normally would.
If you managed to stay awake through these extreme relaxation techniques, you should feel the dose working better than ever. I know this works for me, but it may not work for everyone. Again, please post your specific results here so that I know if it works. Good luck, and happy dosing!

I just came up with something I think might help alot of people, based on the seemingly higher success rate of sleeping angel. I finally got to try it, and it seems that the static on sleeping angel is a little bit louder then the tones, least compared to other doses. Because of this it was much easier for me to focus on that static, and keep my focus on it. This produced some great effects, though it's of course hard to tell if it's more intense then the focus on the beats, but I have to think that it is. Eventually I couldn't even hear the static anymore, and ended up focusing on nothing(even better!).
The static is the carrier wave for the beats, so focusing on the static in effect is focusing on the beats at thier source. After awhile you can hear the waves of the static in tune with the beats, as well as all the nice stuff that might not even be there. Seems to be the static is where it's at, white noise is known for its ability to draw focus and help people concentrate/sleep even without binaural beats behind it.
Anyone else notice better effects(and how easier it is) focusing on the white noise over the beats?

Always make sure you purchase directly from http://www.i-doser.com as most offered elsewhere are fakes. Don't get them somewhere else and then be surprised when they don't work.

If you have premium, you can mix mp3's into the background. If you try to just use a media player in the background, frequencies in your music could very easily interfere with the dose's tones, rendering it impotent at best, a headphones induced headache at worst. I would only use the premium app to mix in music, and even then it would be best to choose music that won't be too distracting. (AC/DC might not be the best choice for zoning out )jamess wrote:do you think it's ok to listen to some ambient/drone music in background?
