I think I found a source of bud. Although I have tried it laced in the past, this is my first try at pure weed. Can you give me some tips for a newcomer? How do you take it and what dosage? Was I ripped off, an 8th for £10?

Jesus Christ! An 8th for 10 euros? I'm not entirely sure about the exchange rate but Im pretty sure 10 euros is no more than 20 U.S. dollars. Speaking of which I only get a 1/2 8th for 30$ but its dank. Either you were given schwag (If your English I've heard it's not the best place for weed due to it being illegal there, on an island, and not in immediate proximity to places abundant in it i.e. Mexico and Canada) or you have a really nice dealer.

Edit: 10 Euros is 15 USD... you lucky bastard. Even for schwag thats good.
