Sorry To Burst Your Bubbles, But..

Post by Vale »

This is what an astral projection actually is.
It is actually going through a trip back in time while you are asleep.
You go through the streets, the homes, the same places.
It is just reopening a map in the past.
If you try to do something that you have never done before, (ex: go to a place you've never gone, watch your girlfriend get naked and take a shower, etc. etc.) you will simple wake up.

Why?

It is because you have never experianced those times before.
In other words,
Error, File Not Found!

Heh, actually the more popular skeptics explination is it is a virtual world created by the mind(as this is less mystic then travelling back through time :) ). It may have influences from memories but basically anything could be created and/or experienced. They take the similarity to the lucid dream to assume they are the same.

Either way both of those assumptions ignore all the actual observed objective experiences(that people have never done before, or more importantly never could have known without some sort of actual perception outside of the body)that people have seen and remembered and verified when returning "back" to the body. :)

In fact, it's you're explination that would fit the error you cited a bit better, as the implications of the experience would most likley be so conflicting with the beliefs that allow the comfort zone of "knowing" what's right within the confines of what you are told is right and wrong, real and not. It goes along with all the theories of rising and falling dreams being the mind's translation of obe/ap sensations/experiences that it doesn't/can't accept.

Who knows though, we're all probably horribly wrong, it kinda sucks our biggest fear is the unknown, if not perhaps we might be more accepting of it and wouldn't rush to comforting conclusions(and if change wasn't another we might not connect to them so vehemently). :)

And good point NWA, how do we really know we are in our bodies, or that we actually have bodies at all? :)

Vale, sorry to burst your bubble, but you're being an idiot. Astral Projection has yet to be proven as ANYTHING since no scientific model has fully satisfied the claims made by practitioners. So, saying "no, it's not what you think (which by the way is the only working model despite its non-conformity with science), it's definetly this flawed concept here" is hardly a valid point.

Prove the people wrong when proof comes along.

I don't think post count is a measure of someone's intelligence...

If you go research all the testimonials from people who have projected and there confirmations its not all just in there head, then you will realise your theory is incorrect.

People have there own confirmations and experiences, it can take years and years to master, but the experiences are so clear they are nothing like dreams. My dreams are always blury and very weird.

Dont blame people for been skeptic, science has had alot of theories about what projection is, but they have more questions than answers.

Astral projection is projecting your soul on to a higher plane. Nothing more, nothing less.
