Speaking in tongues...

I can do this. Or at least I do something that various religious types have claimed is speaking in tongues.

And yes, I can get a nice tingly rush from doing it if I put feeling into it.

Sounds like a real language but is not. Completely voluntary and very easy. Lots of folks I've talked to can't duplicate it...or end up repeating a couple of sounds over and over (when trying at speed).

Had it since I was a kid, and I reckon what it is...

is a psychological trick. I dont' believe it to be anything special beyond a damned convenient way to sing when I don't have proper words or a way to focus my mind in a healing session perhaps.

The power of God is not something that can be imitated by changing the brain waves to a specific frequency. I have to admit all this is quite interesting. And after trying it to my suprise it actually worked (very long time ago lol), but there's a difference between imitating the effects of a drug or a bodily function (sleep, orgasm, love, etc.), and imitating the power of Christ. I'm gonna use other examples than this for my point, then come back to this one. You can't heal people of medically incurable diseases by changing the frequency of brainwaves, yet I've seen it done. Heck, I was cured of things by prayer. I'd expect many of you to think it's crazy, as you've completely dissed even the object of it. But believe me I'd think twice before even tempting to try and mimic God. Much harm could come from it. Whether or not you believe this, I hope you find Jesus before it's to late.
