This could be a dose to bring back those terrible memories from the darkest corners of your mind. The things you have always wanted forget but never have been able to. The things that the sick, twisted, evil part of your mind creates to put in your nightmares. This dose would be for the truly daring who think other frightening doses are too weak for them. This would truly terrify you to the point of sleeping with the lights on.

It would be called Purple Haze after the Smoke grenades from Vietnam that let off purple smoke as this could cause PTS

Well creating a tread of the same name would only confuse people. Plus that would be a name, I'm just trying to describe the effects.
