In headphones, you want to look for two basic things.

1) The quality of the sound. You want a good quality of sound so that the tones are represented as intended to create the binaural beats. Headphones with permanent super-bass would probably be a bad idea. I use studio headphones that cover my entire ear and block out all other sound, leading me to...

2) Sound cancellation. You want to be able to cancel out any outside noises; binaural beats are completely auditory, so interruptions from other songs, or the TV, or parents or siblings (for those who've reported being interrupted...) are going to almost nullify the effects of the dose.

Keep in mind, however, that aside from these two staples, the headphones are only as important as your ability to concentrate and the environment you place yourself in for the duration of the dose.

Hope this helps! =)

Those are more than adequate; they will work, but if you want to save some money there are cheaper alternatives. The headphones I use I've had for about a year and a half, and they cost me about USD$30 at the time.

For clear sound, look at what the plug is made out of (gold plating is the highest quality conductor), as well as the quality of the speakers/magnets. For sound cancellation, look at if they state they have it, and also remember that if they cover your ears they probably cancel out more sound =)
