What separates people who are immune to who arent?

I've tried many different ways to relax while doing the dose, tried many doses. Nothing just seems to work for me. I assume i'm "immune," or that i'm just so paranoid that i'm doing something wrong during the dose that THAT is what screws it up.
If I am immune, what is different between me and any other person that can use this?

Concentrate on the White Noise.
Just see how "deep" you can get into it.
I've splitted the sound into 4 levels:
Level 1 - You can hear something that remind of a "Lazer-Gun" (*Ching-Ching-Ching...*)
Level 2 - You can hear stepping/foot-steps
Level 3 - You can hear some kind of a "drum-beat"
Level 4 - You can hear something like 'wind'.

sounds like good advice, i'll try it. maybe i'll finally be able to get nitrous working
