Questions about AP for a Beginner.

I've been researching AP and stuff like that, and last night, I tried it, after trying the AstralQH dose the night before.
I was using the Astral Projection dose, and I was in my bed. I had already relaxed to where i couldn't at all feel my body, i was ttoally numb, and iw as in a state of tranquility. When suddenly, I felt as though my body became very warm and tingly. I had imagined the Rope, where I would lattch on and pull myself. I felt very strange. VERY strange. I felt as though if I kept going I was going to explode. My body felt as though it was tearing apart. I opened my eyes and stopped, because I was afraid.
Was I doing it right? Is that the right feeling?
And when you go into an Astral Projection, do you keep your eyes closed or do you open them.
and I still don't quite get it.
I mean, is it like a visulization in your head with your eyes closed, or is it like with your eyes opened you will be like, hallucinating all of it, and actually moving will be moving your astral projection?
or is it more of you imagine it?

ok

you dont imagine it, its like when you get to the right level your be kicked out of your head, and you will get a brandnew sight and body, the body with enuff practise can be modded to your liking,
so keep trying and when you get far enuff you may all of a sudden get sight, i like calling the sight the transparent eyeleds

Thanks dude. See, that's what I was wondering.
And so I'd see "through" my eyelids, and when I want to escape the astral plane and re-enter my body, I merely open my eyes?

Not quite so simple. You usually cannot move your physical body so opening your eyes is a no no. If you can, then good, but if you can't then it's common. Also note: Never come back to your physical body too fast, it's a VERY unpleasant feeling and can make you jolt an inch into the air. Like someone stabbing their fingers into your waist making a "shock".

last night I tried the AP dose a second time after about two weeks. it was going along fine, then i faded out for a moment and then I came back to my senses after i felt my body jolt up suddenly. i only faded out for a couple of seconds as i remember but i still dont know how long for sure. as UltimaWarrior pointed out i might have come back into my body too quickly but i have never AP'd before and don not know how to control it. any advice is appreciated on this. i'm planning on taking AP again and i'll come back with the results

That is EXACTLY what i was talking about. Sometimes when people get insomnia or they are trying really hard to sleep, they suddenley jump for no reason. Your body has just tried to slip into the astral plane.

It would be great if your feedback had more to do with my questions than just suggesting I buy a TV. Anyone else have some help they can offer?

That's an interesting experience. Well, I read that the symptoms of astral projections, that is, your experiences when you are just about to exit are far from pleasant. Some people actually hear screams and think they are going to hell. So, I guess you were really about to exit and fear stopped you from doing so. Stay calm, and wish you better luck next time.

Luke, everything you described sounds like you hit the nail on the head.

Each time I go through the exit process it is very uncomfortable. The tingling, numbess, weightlessness... if you're anything like me and tend to scare easily then this whole process can just be a nightmare (literally sometimes!!).

So here's the deal, it never gets better than that. You get USED to it... but that process remains the same. The key is just to stick through and you will know when you have exited. It's scary, sure, but realize there's nothing you can do to actually harm yourself while trying to project unless it's psychological (you never want to do it again for example).

It takes a leap of faith. And some balls.

Different Experiences for me...

When I do astral projection, I feel as if my all my veins in my body are being tugged and body goes numb. Then I feel as if I'm flying somewhere, then all of a sudden I started feeling these waves of euphoria or something like that, and I see things while I'm constanlty floating in wherever I am at the moment. When I want to get out of as you guys say the "astral plane" or whatever I slowly release myself (i don't really no i took a lot of time trying to get in different way) to where I can feel my laying on the bed and i open my eyes

sorry for the bad grammar typing this bad

See, I didn't know what AP was until today, and I looked into it because I did it yesterday when I wasn't meaning to. I just...floated....from my body. It was a weird feeling. Then I felt something cold and I saw my physical body being stabbed by a shadow-like thing, but nothing was happening to my normal body. I quickly rushed to my normal body and twitched and fell off my bed.
