a dream state in which one is conscious enough to recognize that one is in the dream state and which stays in one's memory

Lucid Dreaming, is being able to control your dream. Once in a lucid dream, one can do litterally anything he\she pleases. It's pretty sweet if one can pull it off. Myself has only accomplished it once, long ago. And is the only worth while dream he remembers to this day...wont go into details but it was fun. Hehe. For me to even be able to remember my dreams, I must sleep 6 hours, awake and then try to fall back to sleep. So I fall into REM, instead of non-REM sleep. Being a insomniac doesn't help either =/
Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer (lucid from Latin, lux "light") experience and sometimes enabling direct control over the content of the dream, a realistic world that is completely in the control of the dreamer.
