Nobody wants to help?

How long does it take for hits such as Astral Projection, Black Sunshine, etc. to take full effect? I have done others like trip, but have not had any visual experiences. Should I just be patient and wait for my brain to adjust or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Sarcasm makes my world go round...I love it! Mainly cause Solid Snake uses it a lot. Thus making him even more badass (go ahead call me a fanboy, or whatever.)
