Genisis - what the heck??

Post by sharperguy »

Right, so I'm a casual user of I-Doesr, and, although I try to be active and helpful in the fourms, I haven't had that many working experiences with I-Doser, and only a few doses have ever worked and not all of them are consistent.

Over the last couple of days I've been trying the brain bomb thingy that Ness and someone else suggested (sorry, I can't remeber your name right now) by listening to a few doses a day without really concentrating or expecting effects.

About an hour ago I was doing some homework so I started listening to brain+. It helped me concentrate and finish my homework faster than usual (I think).

Anyway afterwards I decided to try Genisis.

I turned off as many lights as possible, and in the usual way lay down and started to listen to it. (I convert the doses to WAV and play them on my mp3 player)

Interesting to note here is that I was using very poor headphones (as opposed to usual)

As I started listening to Genisis I didn't feel anything for a while, then I got a small dose of what seems to be what Genisis should have felt like. I expected it to get stronger as the dose continued as that was in the description.

However, after a while the effects faded slightly and something very strange happened.

I don't really know how to describe it, but I felt the feeling of something crawling across my chest, or perhaps like a snake. It went over from one side to the other and around my arm.

I also started to feel poking sensations in some areas of my body.

The "snake" then started to feel more like a strap, holding me down. I started to get paranoid and opened my eyes, it might have just been the light but it seemed like I could see dark shapes moving.

I then realised I had the worst case of sleep paralysis I had ever had. I started to panic and get up but I kept failing to move.

After trying for what seemed like ages I finally managed to move and got up and turned off the dose, I looked at it and I had only been listening for 10 minutes!

I turned the light on and everything has subsided.

What the heck happened?

Sounds like endogenous DMT release. Sleep paralysis is basically when you become conscious whilst dreaming, so you're pretty much tripping on DMT a little bit. This is also likely what astral projection is. You just experienced another facet of it.

AFAIK sleep paralysis is where your physical control becomes disconnected from your mind so you don't flail about while dreaming, but if it happens while your awake its like not being able to move at all.

Yeah that was really strange, I dunno what the strap thing was about (I could feel it right until I moved).

About DMT, I dunno what you mean by that because I was listening to Genisis.

DMT occurs naturally in your brain and is release when you dream.

Hence the DMT tripping whilst conscious. Like I said, it's what sleep paralysis and astral projection are.

I'm just guessing here because i havent bought genesis so i dont know what it sounds like, but it probably uses the delta range, simulating what you'd feel during deep sleep. That explains the sleep paralysis and the tingling while conscious.

I just tried genisis again.

I only did the first 10 minuates though because I got interrupted.

This dose is one that actually effects me - only a few doses actually do anything.

So yeah the delta waves did their thing and put me in the trance state and it felt weird because your not meant to be in that state while awake. It wasn't scary like the last time though.

But at the same time it felt really good at some points, and then I had this strange sensation of a girl blowing on my face which for some reason felt good as well.

So pretty much this is what i got off Wiki to help you if that ever happens again

Treatment
During paralysis episodes, patients may be advised to try moving the facial muscles and moving eyes from one side to the other. This may hasten the termination of the attack.

Clonazepam is highly effective in the treatment of sleep paralysis.[4] The initial dose is 0.5 mg at bedtime, while an increase to 1 mg per night might be necessary to maintain potency. Anecdotal reports indicate SSRIs such as fluoxetine markedly decrease the incidence of sleep paralysis. Several people who have been both on and off SSRIs have reported corresponding decreases and increases in sleep paralysis episodes. Others report no effects at all.

Sleep paralysis hardly needs treatment, and benzodiazapines are a poor treatment for it since they only do so by suppressing REM sleep. Essentially, benzos "treat" sleep paralysis by lowering the quality of your sleep.
