Can't Open Audio Device??

When i try to listen to the dose by pressing play it doesn't work i keep getting this msg

Can't Open Audio Device (16-Bit Stereo, 44100 Hz):
The Specified Format is not supported and cannot be translated. Use the
Capabilities function to determine the supported formats.

I have Vista i just don't understand why its not working...

Please help??

if you really want it to work, I highly suggest you get rid of vista and get just XP, after that it should work perfectly.

im not getting rid of vista..

i tried changing them from read only to written then

does any1 else have any suggestions?
