Alcohol..Unsure if it worked
Now I tried this when I had absolutely zero sleep the night before...like it was 7:20 am when I started and I had not slept since waking up at noon the day before, so I don't know if that had an effect on how effective this was. I definitely believe that I am finally getting doses to work for me, though.
So I tried Alcohol, since it was free, and read it was good for beginners. I relaxed on the couch (lifting up the feet thingy on the size and pushing it back so I was laying down), turned off the lights, and plugged in my headphones and started it up.
I started by counting backwards from 100 a few times, which sorta kept me focused on thesounds, but every now and then, my mind would wander. I'm a very paranoid person so I kept imagining scary things and had to really focus on the numbers to get them to go away.
I grew tired of counting, and tried to focus on the sounds on my own, which kinda worked.
Around this point, I felt my body sort of tingling. I don't know how to describe it..like my limbs became slightly heavy, but still feeling light at the same time. Sorta numb but not really.
I don't know when, but at some poiunt, I fell asleep, waking up I believe once or twice during the dose, trying to tell myself to concintrate, but ultimately stayed asleep until around 8 am (it is 8:36 as I write this). I vaguely remember taking the dose, shaking off the little amount of sleep I had, and just went back to sleep for a few minute before the realization of "Oh, did the dose work?" shocked me back awake. I opened my eyes, and moved my arms. They felt very heavy, and even now still have a bit of a tingle to them. If you shake when you're nervous (I'm very shakey when I'm nervous, but only if I move...so if I like..bent over while sitting to get a book out of my backpack off the floor, my arms would feel shakey, but sitting still I would be fine if I were nervous). so yeah it feels kinda like that..but I'm not really moving. My toes are sort of tingly, but I blame that more on the fact that I was standing for 4 hours in very high heels at school for an art class (didn;t realize I would have to stand or I would have been fine!).
Anyway, when I moved my head, it felt...sorta slow but not really. Like, I turned it, but it felt like my head was still catching up with the rest of my neck. My eyes are open wider and while I'm still exhausted, I'm also awake. I also don't have the usual queasyness I have when I first wake up, but I'm not sure if that's due to the dose or due to me not sleeping as long.
Compared to the last time I tried a dose, I definitely feel as though something happened. I've never gotten drunk so I can't compare it to that feeling, either. It was a very relaxing sound, though. I don't know if I feel how the dose is meant to make you feel, or how others have felt on it...so..compare my description to yours I suppose? I'm just excited that I felt something different afterwards this time. It's slowly wearing off.
As of 8:40 am my arms aren't tingling, my head no longer drags when I turn it, and I'm starting to feel a bit sluggish again.
Sorry if my post is a bit rambly, I'm not hte most eloquent writer, especially without much sleep.

I think it being free automatically makes it a beginner dose, along with content, haha.SimonSaysKitty wrote:Ah well a few people on other threads suggested alcohol as a beginner dose, and it's one of the free doses.
I'm going to try again when I'm less tired and see if I get the same sort of feelings.
Oxy right now. Up in a little while.
