iTunes I-Doser albums vs I-Doser app for iPhone

Please explain the difference between these two. Obviously, the album contains the tracks as listed, but what does the app do differently than simply playing the downloadable albums/tracks on the iPod app of my iPhone?

the iphone app has a nice description? and waste more battery? there is no DRM on the iPhone MP3's? I guess its preference.
