Is theta a good dose to begin with?
Is theta a good dose to begin with?
I've been using I-doser for a few months now (iphone app) and I've been getting very minimal results, but today I thought of something. Maybe I should try getting used to entering the hypnagogic state by listening the theta dose several times until I feel some effects, and then trying stronger doses? If I'm not mistaken, one has to be in the hypnagogic state for doses to work right?

Not to be too forward or offensive, one does not have to be in a "hypnagogic" state. You can be awake as awake can be, you just must be listening and focusing on the dose. Also, get the computer app. It's far more efficient in my experience.Shwick wrote:I've been using I-doser for a few months now (iphone app) and I've been getting very minimal results, but today I thought of something. Not to be too forward or offensive but you do have to be in a semi hypnotic state to reach full effects. At the beginning yes you are focusing on the dose. After awhile it becomes a subconscious listening when you are in a semi-trance and semi-body paralysis.Zukamimotu wrote:Not to be too forward or offensive, one does not have to be in a "hypnagogic" state. My advice to you is that if you're going to do the Theta dose and put yourself into a deep theta (3-5Hz), then don't try to do anything physical like operating any machinery. I'm serious on this one....TheGuide wrote:Not to be too forward or offensive but you do have to be in a semi hypnotic state to reach full effects. At the beginning yes you are focusing on the dose. The computer ones are SO much better than the other apps.

In that they have longer lengths of time. The ones on the android and Iphone are "optimized" deliberately to give you the full intended effects in teh shortest period of time.. The idea is that you have more time to sit and chill at your computer and listen to a longer dose..So really, they're not THAT much better..owlmaid wrote:The computer ones are SO much better than the other apps.
