[GENESIS] - Review by Kagalive

Post by kagalive »

Hello guy's and gals and welcome to what I hope to be the first of an extensive set of reviews for different iDoser doses. I am going to make my way through quite a few doses and hopefully this will give you some idea of what to expect from each dose, so that you can purchase the one(s) best suited to your needs.

To start with I will be reviewing the [GENESIS] product.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background
Firstly just a brief word about me to give you some idea of where I'm coming from and what kind of a test subject/qualified reviewer I am.

I am a 27 Year old Male from Australia. I am 5'10" and weigh around 190LBS. (I include these stats just in case they have any influence over the doses). I enjoy writing, video-games, neuroscience, biochemistry and medicine. I am a student of applied sciences who wishes to one day synthesize the worlds most effective anti-anxiety/anti-depressant medication. I don't know if I will ever do this but I would love the chance to try.

I have been using iDoser for well over two years and have tried a great variety of doses. Some I find to be more effective than others, and in general I have found that the more times you listen to a dose the more you get out of it. What I love most about iDoser is you can use the product over and over again by just paying for it one time. This is much better than real drugs, and also, of course, much safer. I have done numerous real drugs so I usually have some idea of what the real deal feels like. That's enough about me for now, if you have any questions feel free to ask them.

Testing Methodology
Before reviewing each dose I go through a certain ritual. The first thing I do is make sure I am as prepared as possible for the dose. This helps maximize it's effectiveness. The following thing I do is make a mental note of what mood I'm in. This is so I can compare it to the way I feel after a dose. The next is to make sure I won't have any interruptions, this means eating if I'm hungry, toileting, showering etc. Just general daily stuff that could cause me to have to stop mid-dose, which I detest doing.

I then sit and meditate for around 5 to 15 minutes. This helps me calm my mind and focus, and generally puts me in a decent mood if I'm not already in one. I meditate on mindfulness, compassion and if I'm doing a more 'negative'/'scary' dose I may meditate on death. (FYI I am a Buddhist so death to me means reincarnation.)

Following this I listen to a full [RESET] dose. This dose lasts only 20 minutes and is very neutral and easy to listen to. This dose brings me to an even level. If I don't do a RESET I generally find the doses lose their effectiveness by as much as around 70%.

Next I ensure I'm going to get the absolute most out of my dose by listening to a full session of [CONDITION]. This also lasts 20 minutes and enhances the dose dramatically. (It more or less doubles it's effectiveness in my experience).

Finally, I take a few deep breaths then sit or lay back and put on the dose I wish to experience. I sit for a minute or two as the dose starts up then I close my eyes and gently focus on my breathing. Sometimes I find it helpful to focus on my stomach rising and falling as well. If I find my mind is too active I try to concentrate on counting down from a large number, visualizing the number in my head as I do so. I never expect anything from a dose. I generally try not to think too much about what I'm listening to and just 'go with it.'

I find both Reset and Condition can be listened to whilst doing other things. (As opposed to a proper dose where its best to just sit/lay back and listen). I also find listening at a medium level volume works best. (Quieter works better than really loud).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From iDoser:

"Genesis / Stimulant (VERY STRONG) / 30 Minutes The universe was created with a bang, and we offer you Genesis so you can feel that explosion deep inside. At the start it will feel like a little spark, you will have to concentrate to feel it, like a tiny match burning deep in your soul. By halfway though the dose, the spark will be a forest fire consuming everything that is dark or bad inside you. Bad feelings wash away in this incredible soul-fire. By the end of the dose, your body will be shaking under an explosion of heat, you may feel jittery, alive, awake, and shaking when the final minutes of Genesis hit you: the Big Bang of your soul. When the dose is over, you will feel new, washed away in the incredible fire. Words can not describe the complete wash of this soul bomb: Genesis."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now without further ado, my review of GENESIS.

Genesis starts off reasonably intensely and within the first few minutes I can start feeling tingling in my lower legs and feet. Following this my heart beat rises and begins to feel heavier in my chest. Then about 3 minutes into the dose, as the beats begin to change, I start to feel more and more energized. I begin tapping my fingers softly as I'm getting so much energy I have to move some part of my body to let the rest of myself sit still.

As Genesis approaches the 6 minute mark I begin to feel my breath change. I have to manually breathe more slowly to keep myself calm and relaxed. I can feel myself getting a bit hyper. As the dose continues my heart feels heavy in my chest and my entire body begins to quiver. Shaking minutely, wavering a little. At this point I wonder if my body really is shaking or if it's just my mind making me feel that way. I open my eyes and hold my hand out in front of me to find it is actually shaking.

The dose is now reaching the 10 minute mark and my heart is pumping faster and faster. I decide to quickly grab my Heart Rate monitor (it's on my phone which is just next to me). It reads 126bpm and I start to realize just how effective this dose seems to be. The dose hits the 13 minute point and my ears start to buzz a little. My head starts to feel numb and my fingers feel a little weird - like small jolts of electricity flowing through them. At this point I notice I'm slightly grinding my teeth and consciously choose to stop doing so.

At around 15 minutes my mental state begins to change. The changes that have occurred to my body begin to take a hold of my mind - my thoughts themselves seem to be a bit shaky, scattered and generally 'fast.' It reminds me somewhat of the start of a (real, illicit,) speed (amphetamine) comedown. It does however, feel quite nice. I make a mental note that I'm not anxious just 'racing.'

The dose presses on and I start to feel very self-confident. I begin to get the feeling that I'm capable of anything and my body starts to feel like it's entering free-fall. My face starts to feel numb and my head starts to pound - not an ache just a numb, throbbing sensation. With my eyes closed I see a horizontal line of yellow light in the distance. The line is very thin and before long another vertical line joins it to form an X,Y axis and a line representing the Sine(x) function appears! After a few seconds it fades back to the single horizontal line and then fades away completely. -How odd.

Genesis reaches it's 20 minute mark and my heart starts to slow down. It still feels a bit heavy but it feels decidedly less active. Feeling reappears in my face and my fingers continue to tingle. Once again I notice I'm grinding my teeth and have to force myself to stop again. I feel quite wired, like I've had about 5 coffees.

At around 21 minutes into the dose the sound seems to change very slightly. I think it's my perception of it, rather than the sound itself changing. I suddenly start to feel very peaceful. Full of energy and vitality but also with a sense of self calm. Thinking about it further I actually feel quite serene and complacent.

It's now been going for ~24 minutes and my body feels like it's gently rocking back and forth. The electricity that was in my fingers is no longer present and I feel like my left ear is twitching. I smile gently to myself because that's just what I feel like doing. I feel slightly nauseous from the rocking sensation but it doesn't bother me.

The dose approaches 27 minutes and I start to feel fresh and renewed. I have the strange sensation that I've just gone on some kind of long journey and am now finally returning home. It feels good to just sit here and breathe. I start feeling quite motivated and ready to take on the world.

In the final minutes the beat of the dose changes and I can feel the experience that is Genesis slowly drawing to a close. I find myself in an alert, relaxed, comfortable state, with a sense of renewal and confidence.

Comments
All-in-all Genesis is somewhat of a journey. It feels like it energizes and renews the mind but that's not where it's most prominent effects lie. Instead, they take place in the body, which goes through a remarkable series of different sensations, some of which cannot be described in words.

If you are looking for a physical sense of 'shifting' in your body as well as a mental pick me up then Genesis may be for you.

Rating
Genesis is around 70% body and 30% mind. It's not the most effective, or enjoyable, of doses but it does seem to be a profoundly unique experience. I would not recommend doing this dose late in the evening as it does seem to have properties that associate it with a stimulant. Genesis would be good to do early in the morning, especially if you were feeling quite unmotivated or lackadaisical.

Body: 7.5/10
Mind: 6.0/10
Overall Change: 7/10
Fun Factor: 7.5/10

Overall Rating: 7.0/10

A wonderfully detailed and thoroughly informatical review with a concise symmary which I think will definitely play a part in me purchasing this dose. Please continue chronicling your experiences - I'll follow with intrigue.

Nb would it be possible to post I-doser's dose summary for easier comparison between your experience and the experience which is I-doser's 'standard'?

Thanks :)

That was a good experience and a well written review. I particularly like the way you prepare before and during the dose, with Reset + Condition etc. I like the 15 min Condition & Reset mp3 versions which have cool backgrounds.

Also make sure you read this http://www.i-doser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=10773 and write/copy all your reviews at the main site too, as it would be very helpful to those who are planning to buy the doses.

Is there a TL;DR on this one or do I have to just tough it out. I am shocked by the amount of information you provided. I was going to do a string of Revisit Reviews for all my favorite doses that I have more experience with.
