Solution to Error 6

Post by hackaroto »

Ok, so I got the infamous "Error 6" which goes something like:

Error number: 6
Error description: Overflow
Error source: IDoser

in my case, my "locale" was set to "Japanese", I switched it to "English (United States)" and its working now... just sounds like static though :p.

to change the locale:
[Control Panel]
[Regional and Language Options]
[Advanced] "tab"
in "Languages for non-Unicode Programs" select "English (United States)"
[Restart]

Error 6 gone :D

hope it works for you!

I've followed your instruction, but now when I open the dose, the message says "This dose is licensed for another computer. Please purchase a dose for this computer."

I still can't load the dose successfully. Does anyone know why? thanks!

That means you pirated the dose and its already licensed to another computer. Did you get your doses from a torrent?

No, I downloaded the dose player from this site and was just trying to open the two free doses (alcohol.drg and content.drg) included in the player.

Does anyone run into the same situation as me?

If this problem can't be solved, I can't even pay to buy doses furthermore.

It means you opened them on another computer first and they were then licensed for that computer. re download and open again on the computer you are trying to use.

Hello,

I recently downloaded 3 doses from this website onto my laptop and when I first opened them they worked fine. However after a few days I tried again on the same laptop and am getting the "this dose is licensed for another computer" message. Please help

Regards,

License to another computer error means you tried to copy the doses to another computer or you made major changes to your computer. Uninstall I-Doser, delete the Dose directory in your User / Documents folder (wherever you have that set to on PC or MAC) - then reinstall and the free doses will work fine.

Hi,
I have a similar problem.
I changed computer since the computer I used for the playing of the doses started to die recently (lots of BSOD and freezes).
I have copied the purchased doses to the new computer.
Now when I try to open the purchased doses, they are no longer opening up correctly.
I can't download the doses again since the download links have all expired.
How will I get the money or my purchased doses back?
