Importance to Longevity

Post by tyciol »

I was drawn to the study of health, life extension, as methods of mastering life. These are still important, but does anyone notice that in the rush, we tend to avoid the brain? It is not visible. People are lifting weights, rubbing lotions on their skin, dying their hair...

But what about what fundamentally makes us human? What makes us us? that's the brain! So I think all health practises should focus primarily on it, and then on systems to support it secondarily.

Of course, there is an amount of symbiosis, with physical exercise and good food being good for the brain and other areas, but all I'm saying is that in taking drugs to say, prime muscle development or sex drive, we shouldn't lose our priorities!

Human is the most fantastic machines on this planet.

Thus, I don't walk around and think of my brain like this:
Oh, this is my brain!

But, how it all is put together...
We smell, we get this feeling. We get that feeling.
When watching a nice picture, we get this "After-Thought".
Like... We're drifted away to a place where we are alone etc.

We should not mess up our life with this and that.

You only live once...
... So don't fuck up that one and only opportunity ;)

I've heard that Limu (type of seaweed made into a drink) is supposed to help your mental side. Increased concentration and also improve your overall health. I'm using it now, but I've only been on it a short time, so can't say yet if it works well or not. Also it's pretty expensive.

I totally agree with this topic, people take drugs/creams/lotions and everything without taking any concern about their brain. So what if they look like they're 20 years younger? If a something goes wrong, it could take a split second to cause permanent brain damage, maybe even death.

I still don't understand...you are against I-Doser or what, are you all trying to say that we should take care more of our brain, instead get more beautiful, more strong, or more "In"...cause if this is what you are talking about, than I agree, too much...

....sure we could die in a split second, but I used to live in fear of that.....and 30 more years went by. I think the Ghost of Christmas Present (Scrooge 1970) says it best, "it doesn't matter how long you have to live, but what you make and do with the time you have left". .....and we still don't know for certain that we cease to exist when we die.....certainly not intending to get into a physical vs. spiritual here, ......but just to say that maybe there is more to us than we think or can see or measure. What if the spiritual is in fact actually physical, but something we have yet to understand, comprehend, or measure?
