"Keep Eyes Closed" How to see Hallucinations then?

My friends and I who have been experimenting with I-Doser the past two weeks have been plagued with a question: If we're supposed to keep our eyes closed during a hallucinogen dose, then how are to we to experience visual hallucinations? Sure, there are the closed eye ones, but those aren't quite the same.
