I-doser on symbian or windows mobile?

Post by gchina »

Apologies if this has been covered before, i did browse and didnt find anything.

Are there any plans to write an i-doser program for SymbianOS or Windows Mobile?
I think this would solve a lot of the problems of people who are asking how to copy to Ipod or mp3 player - if the software was written to be run on a pda or smartphone then you'd only need the small 100kb drg files rather than looking for ways to convert to unwieldly 300MB wav files with mixed results. I know I'd benefit from something like this -I'd like to be able to use the i-doser application on a longhaul flight or while camping without having to lug a laptop. any thoughts?

sorry, just did a search and found this has been asked before.

However I still think its something that's worth considering - could be really useful.

Otherwise, anyone know of any emulators for symbian or Windows Mobile that could make this possible?

i-doser said that they would release a pocket computer version of it.
(and they go starcraft ghost and postpone the release 6 times and is finally released in 2030 but is withdrawn and taken back to the drawing bored)

We have never said we would release any version other than the Windows PC version of the player. There are currently no plans other than the windows version.

Regardless of what I-doser has or hasn't said they will do (and ignoring the sarcastic and unhelpful remarks about delays until 2030) I still think this is something worth considering.

And this is not only because I would appreciate it but I genuinely believe you could reach a whole new market (and undoubtedly a larger one) by doing this. People want to be chained to their computers less and less. More and more people are expecting applications to be portable and for something like I-doser it would be ideal.

Pocket PC *bump*

Post by hollowflame »

I've been looking all over for a thread like this..and I'd really like to agree.

I bought a HTC Touch Pro phone the other day.. and I absolutely love it. I have all of my ebooks.. most of my music.. my dayplanner, everything i really use my PC for on a day to day basis.

So.. now i sit down and think "wouldn't it be swell if I didnt have to sit in front of my computer to use I-Doser? especially since I'd much rather be in my bed, or for that matter, using it on my lunchbreak at work as a stress reliever?"

But sadly, the more I look the more I see such a thing is not yet possible. So now, I must plead with you...

Develop an I-Doser for windows mobile Pocket PC. People want to be able to take this stuff with them. Audio isn't just for the computer anymore. It's mobile. And things like Pocket PCs, Smart phones, etc.. are becoming more and more common, more and more affordable.

It's a huge market to tap.. and people would download a lot more 120kb .drgs for their mobile devices than they would 100mb .wavs or what-have-you.

SO. If you love me.

If you love I-Doser junkies around the world..

Please..

Please put out a windows mobile version. I will love you forever.

That is all.
