I would actually, Absinthe has several properties that are the same as alcohol (it gets you drunk) but also has the prosperities of hallucinogens and smart drugs...
Just checked Wiki. It does have the effects of alcohol because of it's high content, and it also has smart drug characteristics, however it says nothing about it being hallucinogenic.

Also, apparently it's legal throughout Euroupe and the US since the 90's

Oh I just thought it had hallucinogenic property's because I know some one who almost died after drinking wayy to much of it in Europe and he sed that he tripped super hard

Supposedly it used to have hallucinogenic properties. There is less fujone in modern Absinthe than the type of Absinthe Van Gogh was drinking. It's beleived that he painted the Halos on things in his paintings because of his Absinthe abuse, which is also accredited with driving him insane and killing him.

Of course, modern absinthe wont do this, especially if its now legal in the US.
