I'm currently using the Razer Megalodon headset.

It's a great headset with awesome sound, comfort, and mic. However I noticed that the Frequency Response was 20 - 20,000 Hz. Is this going to be an issue for listening to certain doses?

what your looking for is some good low end sounds.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RadZTuZEKlM listen to this song to test it. this song has serious bass. No its not dubstep. But if this song leaves you saying "woah" your headphones probably will work just fine. see most headphones can produce highs just fine because of the small size of the speaker. but most if not all doses are very bassy

I can hear the bass (which sounds awesome btw), the lows sound a bit muddled however. I can still 'feel' the bass however

Yeah in my oppinion you want to be able to feel it. Now when your dosing keep the volume at a comfortable level.

I don't think there are very many headphones that go below 20 because I don't think humans can even hear that. The way binaurals work is by mimicking the specific frequency so to speak by having each side a slightly different frequency to trick your brain into taking it as a whole 'nother frequency.
Other than that I highly recommend
http://www.sleepphones.com/ I use them myself and they work great for I-Doser, are pretty high quality sound, are very comfortable, and don't come off when I sleep lmao

Someone mentioned comfortable level, and I've found that this is the most important thing. I used to crank it up but I've found that softer volume levels work much more effectively. This is something that people should take the time to play around with, if it's too loud then your brain will tense up more and that's no good. The goal is to find the sweet spot like the three bears, not too loud, not too soft, just right

Those sleep phones look pretty slick. I hate not being able to roll over to my side because I have big ass headphones on my head. I might give those a shot. Thanks for mentioning them. You can also pull them over your eyes too.

Bass isn't really a factor I don't think. If it's a relatively good pair of headphones and not just the headphones that come with the iPhone, your all good.

I think many manufacturers are trying to make money from Idoser's succes. I'm not trying to bash someone but all those expensive equipment its not needed. I have wrote it a couple time on this forum and I still will do it, WORK ON YOUR FOCUSING TECHNIQUE!
I'm using an iPod with the standard earphones, and THEY WORK, why? Because I focus very well. Before you ask your self if you want to buy expensive headsets, do you really focus very well? In many cases it's not the dose that doesn't work, it's the end-user who can't focus.
It's your choice, all I say that it is NOT needed to buy EXPENSIVE stuff to get the dose working.

You say that but I believe the exact opposite. I believe the biggest key factor that people lack it the ability to meditate clearing their mind and letting go. If you focus on something that is only a distraction. And your right you don't need expensive headphones which I say time after time that there is a pair of $30 Phillips out there that you can buy that I highly recommend. I also state in some of my reviews that I used Skull Candy Uprocks which are some cheap headphones but they do the job. I would only say don't use screechy iBuds because if your playing those loud enough to hear the binaural beat any static is gonna be blazing in your ear possibly causing damage.

The biggest problem with I-Dosing it seems, is that most people are skeptical about the effects of the dose. They are not concentrating well and hinking o other things. Work on concentration. SadLittlePony uses SkullCandy UpRocks an seems to work, and I use Philips SHN9500 Noise Canceling Headphones with the Noise Canceling feature off.
