Am I doing it right? A few questions.

I started dosing a few years back, but I never consistently used it (took 4-8 month breaks) until a week or two ago. I have now decided to consistently practice everyday until I achieve more notable effects.
Now what keeps me going is that I DO get some minor effects such as twitching and a bit of energy.
I always use non noise cancelling bose headphones (since they've got great sound quality). Always in a room with as little light as possible (I use an eye mask too).
I begin by taking some deep breaths and start up the condition dose along with the normal dose right afterwards. At this point I lay down and try to focus on the sound. This is where I wonder, do I focus on the actual sound, static, the BG music, or nothing at all? When I think I'm doing good is when I start twitching (mostly minor twitches in the hands and feet, only one rather large one I can think of). I assuming it has SOME effect on me because of this. It pretty much goes on like this and when It ends I feel slightly more energized no matter which one I'm doing.
As for thinking (or not) during a dose, do you have to have a completely empty mind for the duration? If so that could be my problem as I sometimes for very brief moments (2-5 seconds) think about something else.
Right now I'm trying to get some of the stated effects out of Nitrious, French Roast, Quickhappy, Alcohol. I feel as though I'm going in the right direction as far as doing it properly. Any ideas on what I could do or not do to improve the technique?

Hello there! When I am dosing I usually clear my mind and meditate. No thought at all untill the dose hypnotizes me and takes my mind away to a magical land. I dont listen to the dose, I dont ignore it, but I hear it. I dont need to focus on it at all. And if you are feeling some effect thats good. It just means you need practice.

Thanks I was wondering about that. Noticed another effect, my arms and legs go numb if I don't move them.
I've never actually practiced meditation until now, so it's basically thinking about nothing even though you hear the sounds you just don't acknowledge that you are hearing anything or acknowledge anything at all do I got that right?

I not sure what you mean by that. But my understanding of your question is asking me if im just absent minded or if i make a conscious decision not to listen to the dose but just hear it instead. And I would say its a weird mix of the two but since I do make a conscious effort not to listen.

Yeah I was just wondering if your brain has to process the sounds by consciously listening to them or if the sounds just work with out having to listen to them (maybe the subconscious mind has to listen to the sounds and not the conscious mind?).
I'll try letting my mind go next time (it certainly is a learned skill, some days people think I have ADD although I've never officially been diagnosed).

Yes its the subconscious that is going to be picking up those frequencies and then your brain goes "hey that sounds nifty, let me readjust" and then BAM! your dosing.

I've noticed something that's kind of hard to explain but. I can have images in my head without really "processing" them, I can see the image but I can't 'grasp it. It's like a daydreaming state, or my logical thinking brain just shuts off until I force myself to comeback to reality or an outside source turns it back on. This "off" state is when I start to twitch which usually brings me back into reality.
I'm just wondering if it is possible that you can think things during the dose but as long as you don't "process" what your thinking the dose will still work?

Well Like I tell a lot of other members that once the dose actually takes you and starts to pull your brain apart then you can start to think and say "holy crap did someone just touch me?" or "wow im freaking flying through pudding" You gotta coax your brain into getting into the state it needs to be in. I find myself thinking a lot once I actually get the desired effects.

I see, usually focusing on the BG music lures me into that state. Before I actually feel any of the effects of the dose though I'm in this state of "no thought focusing" which is where I can think "images" but not process.
When twitching eventually takes me out of this state I don't necessarily feel any stated effects but I have a feeling that if I stay in this state long enough that the real effects will start.
So should I try to achieve this state and practice ignoring the twitching?

Oh the twitching and stuff used to bother me alot when I first started dosing but now i have done it so much i can move around and stuff and not disrupt the process. It gets better with time

More progress! I had another large twitch (both of them have been in my legs) but I managed to keep myself from losing that non-thinking state. Too bad I fell asleep shortly afterwards (got to work on that).
A new effect that I noticed was that when I moved one of my fingers slightly down it felt like it pressed down very fast.

When i am listening to a dose and it slows down or lowers in pitch it feels like im sinking. is that what you mean by pressing down? like somehting is pusing you down into a void?
