The following is a review of the MP3 version of the Overdose dose. Its duration is 15 minutes.

Overdose

From iDoser:
"OverDose / Experimental (Extreme) / 1 Hour This dose leans on the side of uncomfortable pain as we attempt to binaurally simulate the extreme panic, fear and intensity of an overdose. Extreme waves of overheating, very shaky hands, rigid muscles, panic attack, extreme paranoia, extreme anxiety, dizziness and flushed, sky-high pulse and a pounding overtaking heart. You may feel shock. You may feel confusion. This could be intensity on the level of a full on anxiety attack."
The Review:

It does not take long for the feelings of Overdose to begin. As the dose starts I begin to feel overcome by the sensation that something is not right. This is quite uncomfortable and the discomfort only gets worse as the dose progresses. Time marches on and I at first feel it in my hands. It's a feeling of dysphoria, verging on pain but extraordinarily un-nerving. The feeling moves from my hands and begins to overtake my body in its entirety.

I feel like I am on the verge of death. Standing on the precipice that separates this life from the next. I'm overcome. I'm done. I'm out. I'm ready to stop this dose, I can't take this. Then, as I'm just about to reach for my headphones the tempo of the track changes. At around 7 minutes in I begin to feel at peace. My body is writhing in agonizing disharmony but my mind begins to settle. I am flooded with the thought that "everything will be okay..."

This feeling takes hold of me and despite my bodies crippling sensations I'm elevated to a higher plane of existence. I realize at this point that "it won't ever get any worse than this." Unfortunately after a few more moments with the dose this feeling fades and I'm shaken by paranoia. - Could a dose possibly cause physical harm? Am I going to die? I am completely withdrawn from reality and stuck in a trance that is less than welcoming.

I sit in what seems to be 'dead-space' for a few minutes and the dose suddenly draws to a close. I open my eyes and adjust to my surroundings. Only one thought lingers in my mind - "Thank god that is over." Like someone waking from a nightmare I'm perplexed by feelings of discord. The intricacies of which cannot be fully expressed in words.

I sigh with relief and quickly reach for the Xanak dose to calm my nerves.

Comments

This dose is most definitely not for everyone. It is not a friendly experience. It is overwhelming in its ability to remove you from reality. It grasps you, wraps you up, twists you, wrings you out then suddenly lets you go. It's an experience worth having, but only when you are truly ready. I can only imagine what the one-hour long .drg dose would do to you. Novice iDosers stay clear, and veterans prepare to be completely entangled as you are dragged to the edge of deaths abyss.

Rating

Whilst far from being a pleasurable experience overdose is quite eye-opening. It should be experienced by everyone at least once but only when they are ready. Do not take this dose lightly and be sure to have an anxiety-relieving dose on hand for afterwards. Feelings of paranoia and discomfort linger with you long after this dose is finished. It will be some time before I do this dose again.

Body: 8.0/10
Mind: 8.0/10
Overall Change: 8.5/10
Fun Factor: 3.0/10

Overall Rating: 6.9/10
