Help with trip

I've been trying the trip dose 7 times and but nothing happens. I usually just close my eyes in front of my computer and wait until the dose is over, then I open them and nothing is different. I think i might be doing something wrong here but I've heard so many amazing stories about the trip dose that i am really excited for it to work. So could you give some good advice on what is the best way to active it? Thanks

Personally I get the best results lying down. I can't sit at my computer because there are too many distractions - from simply having to sit up, to having a bright monitor in front of me. If you don't have a long enough cord to lay on your bed with your headphones, at least try turning the monitor off.
General advice is:
1) The less light the better.
2) The less motor activity the better.
3) The less interference from outside sounds / contact, the better.
Relaxing your body will allow your brain to focus on the sounds. It's a drag sitting and focusing on the static and the small noises for so long, but it's the way to get the best results from what I can tell. Also, I don't know how loud it should be, but I have the static at a comfortable level, and can hear the pulsing sounds and other small noises in the background, and have had auditory hallucinations from using the Trip dose.

Alright, thanks for the help, I'm gonna try it out. Just one final question: Are the effects supposed to appear while I'm using the dose or after I've listened to it?

Well, typically results should be found while using the dose. However, due to remaining fairly rested (you should be sitting / laying still, although your heart rate may increase, and your eyes should be closed) you probably won't notice some of the results until you finish the dose. For example, the Ecstacy dose doesn't require you to have your eyes open to know if it's working, and it is supposed to happen during the dose... but for Trip, you won't really know about open-eye hallucinations until you open your eyes. I actually cut my latest Trip dose short by almost half and I didn't have anything during it, but afterwards for around 40 or so minutes I had mild symptoms including auditory hallucinations.

Nope, it just doesn't work. Guess I'm just immune hallucinogenic doses. In fact most of the doses have never worked

Well, technically nobody should be "immune" to binaural beats unless they have a hearing disability or a similar unavoidable interference. When you listen to the beats, do you daydream, or just sit and focus on the beats?
Also, try varying the volume at which you play the dose; I hear it should be comfortably quiet, but I tend to play it a little bit louder and have gotten results. Another thing to try is to just "pretend" that it's working - lead your body to really believe it. If you know it's supposed to be intense, increase your breathing to short, fast breaths.
Lastly, keep in mind that it also may be possible that you're "too awake" to administer the dose. If you always try doses during the day, then try one at night when you're tired. Putting yourself in a near-sleeping state while administering the dose (and making sure not to fall asleep!) may make your brain more susceptible to the binaural beats.

I finally got my first trip experience
. Just laying in bed when my ceiling turned into starlit sky. It was pretty cool for few minutes but then i suddenly passed out for 5 hours or so... no idea how that occurred though.

I didn't keep my eyes open during the whole dose, that would have ruined the effect. But i did open them time to time to see if it was working. Also remember to have as much darkness as you possibly can. Works best that way. Hoped that helped

Congrats, Atlas!
The first time it happens and you're realizing that it's actually happening is really neat; good to hear you were able to experience it! =)

i've tried trip once but nothing happened, probably due to the fact that i didn't like its description 'its going to change your life'. its like, i want the hallucinations and all, but i don't want my life to change just yet...
i bought peyote and bufo)toad and i'll try them tonight...

I've yet to try peyote, I fell asleep on it the one time I wanted to try it. Trip, however, has not been "life-changing", except for the fact that it was the first dose that I was able to feel a reaction to that totally beat chance versus my harmless control dose (I've put together control situations in order to determine the effectiveness of I-Doser 'cause I'm a dork like that =) ).
Trip is my favorite to test, and has been my selection for my "does doing a dose over and over make it easier to feel the effects of, etc" dose.

Hey Pants, you seem knowledgeable in this stuff, so I'll shoot a few questions at you! I've been playing with iDoser for a while now, and have experienced little to no results. In some attempts, I have been laying in my bed, staring at the ceiling, and thought there were some visual effects, but I believe them to be just the result of my poor vision and just staring. I think if anyone stares at the same scene for long enough, distortions will occur because the scene gets burned into your eyes, then any subtle movement seems hazy and distorted. Anyway, I have experienced a lot of the quickened breathing and heart rate effects, but I read somewhere that you SHOULD try to control them, because getting too excited in a dose can distract you and make you lose any effects you're on the verge of getting. What do you think, just go with whatever your body does? And you believe eyes closed is the way to go?
But here is my main query: I may not experience any of the expected effects of a dose, BUT, after almost every dose I do, my brain feels physically altered. It gets a foggy, crawling feeling all though it. This really makes me mad, cause if I'm killing cells up there or something, I'd really like to get some effects! I'm like you, I've never experimented with any real drugs, and I would really like this to work for me. But it concerns me that I've tried many different doses many times, and I feel no effects except this physical one, which applies to every dose. Are you sure there is no way to be immune to binaural beat effects? Anyway, this was a lengthy post. Thank you for your time, you are an asset to this forum!

Thank you womcat66, your kind words are much appreciated =)
So, *cracks knuckles* onto the answers. Firstly, as far as eyes-open versus eyes-closed, I don't know which is better; that's something I'm currently looking into. I've yet to try a dose with my eyes open the whole time, but any time I get a reaction from a dose while my eyes are closed, opening them seems to make the effects dissipate. Of course, though, others on this forum has supposedly gotten open-eye visuals during a dose by just staring. Like you said, though, staring may be the cause of certain visual effects in itself.
As far as controlling your body is concerned, I've had more luck, personally, when I let my breathing and heart rate increase. I have no reasoning behind it other than possibly a placebo for the real effects, or perhaps it's simply allowing my body to produce the chemical reactions to the dose at a faster rate. Of course though, I don't hyperventilate; if it's distracting you from the dose too much then it probably won't do any good at all.
Your main concern is interesting; as far as being immune is concerned, it is impossible unless something is interfering. If you are deaf in one ear, then the doses simply cannot work on you. And I don't believe I-Doser kills braincells, it merely puts us into a biological state similar to when taking certain drugs - but without said drugs actually in our body. Our body may produce dopamine or serotonin when taking a drug, and that can be reproduced. But other biological effects dependent on physically taking the drug like "cotton mouth" from smoking marijuana are impossible to achieve through I-Doser (and anyone saying they got cotton mouth most likely had their mouth open at some point and it dried out during the dose, similar to waking up with a scratchy throat).
As for increasing your odds of having a successful experience with a dose, try to think of all of the external variables, and change them one by one. The volume of the dose, your positioning, the lighting; what works for one may not work for all. Also, because brainwave patterns change during sleep, have you tried taking doses when you're so relaxed that you're almost falling asleep? If it feels like you're only staying awake because you're "hanging on" to the dose, then there is a good chance you can enter a self-hypnotic state and the dose effects would be amplified. Just make sure not to fall asleep!
Hope this helps!

I agree Pants
Also, don't WANT it too much.
I've been doing a lot of reading on lucid dreaming/OBE since I've foudn I-Doser, and the main point is not wanting it to much.
If you think about the effects the whoel time, and constantly loo karoudn to se "hey anything different yet?" you're not gunan get great results. First one I legit went the whole way through, was trip. Just laying on my couch, TV on, lights off, I was under a blanket etc. Alternate between concentrating on the static and the pulses, Whe nI hear the pulses, try and think that you can change the pitch with your mind, its interesting when you get deep in it and can make it sound like diff things. That's what I do, open your eyes every once in a while.. don't look at anyhting like light.. just keep thinking about the sounds kind of, then, even if nothign happens during it (During my trip experience I kept hearing walking sounds behind me.. being 2 am this freaked me out and I kept looking and whatever, dose stil worked though.) After this, I felt the dose was over, but about 20 minutes later i was headed up to bed and I swear my fridge started growling at me? And I freaked myself out because every window I looked out looked like someoen was looking through it
Even secodn floor? So yeah, thats all I got
.
