Becoming aware?

After a week of trying, I finally got Lucid Dream to work. I was in control of my dream, and I remembered exactly what happened, but I wasn't aware I was in a dream. How would I make myself AWARE I was in a lucid dream instead of thinking it was reality? If I would be able to become AWARE of my dream, I would be able to control what happens in it. I'd appreciate any advice.

When you're inside the dream you have to ask yourself "Is this a dream", that should usually work.

I don't know why but I have lucid dreams like once a month. I usually just know if it's a dream or not, but if you are very intrested in lucid dreaming you could do this.
Keep a dream journal, every morning just spend like 10 minutes to think about if you had a dream that night, if you did and you remember it write it down. (People have typically 5-6 dreams every night) you will ALWAYS remember your dream if you woke up in the middle of a dream. EX-if you were dreaming at 4:00AM and it was going to last until 4:30AM if you wake up at say, 4:23AM you would remember it without question.
Do this and eventually you will master lucid dreaming, and always control your dreams!

See but that's the thing, I can't ask myself "is this a dream" because whatever happens in my dream, no matter how bizarre, it just feels like my same old routine, and I dont question it. I could see a 250-foot cockroach with 8 legs, and not even question it, I'd just keep on doing whatever I was doing.

its true... sometimes when i lucid dream (without using i-doser) i feel that everything is normal... and sometimes i get pissed off that that was only a dream...

So how would I be able to cause myself to become aware that im in a dream? What would trigger this realization? And yes I know that the excitement from the realization of being in a dream will probably wake me up if I dont control it, but being in a lucid dream is pretty useless if Im not aware its a dream (thus giving me a control over my environment)

i also have problems becoming aware in dreams, and when i do, i either have to wake up, or i loose the dream.
what you have to do is, you have to question yourself throughout the day: 'am i dreaming?'... make a habit out of it... and soon you'll start questioning inside your dreams... or even easier: always question yourself 'what time is it' and look at your watch, make a habit out of that, and soon in your dreams you'll also question 'what time is it?' and when you look at your watch and see strange markings, you'll know...

Well for those really intrested in it (like myself) got to
www.ld4all.com
when you realize your in a dream and feel it spinning or slipping away do the spinning technique. When you feel the dream spinning you spin in your dream. or grab on to a dream character or object. it works most of the time and im a frequent lucid dreamer because of that site. i LD about every two nights like last night i did it was great.

Lucid Dreaming is that act of being aware that you are dreaming in your dream.
In your case you just had a very good dream recall that night so it seemed like you were Lucid.

ive always been confused by the term lucid dreaming i understand how you are aware you are in a dream but what exactly happens like do you just do whatever your mind is dreaming of and actually experience it or do u get to make up your dream while being in it? also when is good time to fall asleep while listening to the dose like during it or after its done playing?

From what I've read, doing whatever your mind is dreaming isnt lucidity, if you were luicd (aware youre dreaming) you could easily summon/change things in your environment. And for me, I just play the dose, and think over and over "I will have a lucid dream, I will have a lucid dream, I will have a lucid dream,"etc, and I never remember hearing the end of the dose, so I must have fallen asleep during it.

It gave me a half lucid dream, I was able to control what I was doing, I remembered my dream, but I wasnt aware, and hence couldnt change anything in my dream.

i am able to control my dreams most of the time, it used to be like they were a movie or something, but usually i think they are real so i never get to do anything that i want to.
1 time i was talking to this chick i hadn't talked to in forever and then i had a dream later and she was in it.
