Let's say I want to take the dose at 10am but I have something very important from 6-11pm. How long does the dose last and does it make you tired after it wears out?

At maximum, 2 hours. It leaves you feeling like you did before you took the dose, maybe even worse. The best thing to do is to try "Energizer", which is meant for hours of staying awake (at least 5, maybe more).
