have you ever had that feeling right before you wake up from sleeping that kinda feels like you're falling, but then you snap back to reality? i was wondering if any of you have done doses that replicate this feeling, because it feels pretty cool :]

Ohhh yeah. I love that feeling.

I've gotten that feeling twice -- i was at school, in my dorm, doing work, exhausted, and i fell asleep. Both times. I was on my back, and i had a very lucid and interactive dream, i thought both were reality, and in both of them i smoked weed.

In the first one, i was in my girlfriend's dorm, and then i floated to the ground and started falling out of the room...it sounds strange, but i was so confused. Eventually i slowly woke up, and still had that "falling" feeling, and i thought i was very, very high, which stayed with me for a couple minutes.

The second time, i was smoking outside my frat house with a friend, and i fell off the picnic table, and floated away from the house, and the house seemed so distorted...it was amazing.

It is just getting of from sleep paralysis.
If you wake up in sleep paralysis you will see people standing in your room, your body feels tingly and you will like floating, or like melting in the bed

Sounds cool, I have a program where you can make free binaural beats and I guess I'll do some research and try making one. I also was doing research on lucid dreaming and found that falling asleep for 5 hours then waking up and going back to sleep listening to a 4Hz beat can help induce lucid dreams. If it doesn't give lucid dreams, I suppose it'll still help you have some interesting dreams.

You can get in SP without binaural beats, but with it's easier.
The first time in SP will be very scary, so don't freak out, you probably will

Ah ok, this is how the porcess starts:

Your body will feel tingly, sometimes it feels like you are floating up, or you sink trough your bed.
Then you will see hypnagogic hallucinations (colors, and later pictures and dreamscenes)
You will hear sounds, that sound veeeery realistic.
Often there are persons who talk about you, shout your name, someones walking infront of you, someones opening the door and so on.
Your tinnitus gets louder and louder, it feels like your head blows up, but it doesnt feels always like this.

When you are still awake, or you wake up in paralysis, you will feel that other people are in your room.
You will see at your door, as someone stands there.
You will get frightened and the person comes towards you.
If you are unlucky somone beats you pretty bad up, with almost real pain
But if you know whats coming, keep cool.
Nothing can happen to you

i get that feeling where you fall and then snap back into reality alot. it happens just as you fall asleep and it can be a real bitch sometimes. this morning i had a dream and i realised i was dreaming (first time ever!) so it turned into a lucid dream. i did the whole look at your hands and watch them melt thing... that was soooo awesome. but i kept waking up from the dream alot because i'd get that feeling where im falling and bam i'd be awake!. ARGH! but to get back into the dream i simply had to lay there for a few seconds and visualise my hands out in front of me and i'd get that feeling and bam. back in the dream... then i watch them melt again :P
