Had my first LD, but couldn't control it
Hey, I'm kinda new to all this, I had a Lucid Dream last night, I remember most of it, and I did know it was a dream, but I couldn't completely control it. It was like I tried really hard to make things happen, but they just wouldn't, even though I was 100% sure I was only dreaming.
For instance, a girl I have no idea who is was walking towards me, and i closed my eyes and concentrated on turning her into the hottest girl I know (don't laugh ) but when I opened my eyes, it was still that kinda wierd girl just walking towards me..
Then suddenly everything changed and I was in a limo with Jessica Alba and some other movie star chick I cant really remember the name of (Emily in the show Jericho) and we were kinda pissed because there'd been a traffic accident further on so we couldn't get anywhere. I won't say any more about that part
I think it was a "WILD"(Wake Induced Lucid Dream or whatever) because I think my father woke me up just before it, but I told him to get lost because I didnt have school today, and went back to sleep, but that might have been after though..
It's my first lucid dream ever, and my tip for people who want LDs is to make a habit out of asking yourself "Am I dreaming?" every now and then, that's how i made it.
I hope you guys can help me out on how to be able to control my dreams more, and I hope my tip will help someone on their way to LDing too.

RC's are Reality Checks.
This one will help you to see if its a dream.
CLose your nose with your fingers and try to breath trough it.
Look at a digital clock, look away, and look again, the number should have changed.
Breath out trough your closed mouth...
Look at your hand (don't just look, it would show you 5 fingers, COUNT your fingers)
Dream stabilisations stabilisate your lucidness.
Like rubbing your hands, don't look at one point (move your eyes from the left to right, left to right) and so on.
Don't get too excited, you would wake up.

OK, first of all, I just want to clarify this;
All a Lucid dream is: Knowing that you are dreaming.
It is not a "Fake" Lucid dream if you can't control it. You just need practice to control your Lucid dreams. I personally like the site dreamviews.com or LD4all.com for some helpful Lucid dreaming tips. Gratz on your first LD!!!
Edit:
Also, I almost forgot. You DID do a WILD I'm pretty sure. A WILD is the act of waking up and going back to bed.

Infact, a fake lucid dream is where you CAN control it but you dont know that you are dreaming. This is called an FLD. False lucidity is very common among younger children. LD's themselves have different stages. I'll tell you roughly how the scale works.
0 - You realise you are dreaming but you cannot control it. Usually it turns back to a normal dream.
1 - You know it's a dream but have little control. You may be able to move things with your mind and make people do things you want, but spawning, changing and teleporting are beyond you.
2 - You can spawn things and have little control over things.
3 - You can morph, spawn and teleport, flying is still beyond you.
4 - Flying is becoming easy, you have most control over things. Most common level of LD in humans.
5 - Very uncommon to gain complete control with full ability. Lucid dreaming level 5 is also very detailed and makes you take in all surroundings. Taste, touch, smell, hear and look. I've only ever reached this state once.

i also had a lucid dream, just last night. it was my first one i've ever had, and i know cuz i was thinking "it's so cool i can go anywhere in an instant cuz i'm dreaming!" but i still couldn't control it. i didn't really try, probably cuz i didn't realize i knew i was dreaming (if that makes any sense ) but i was playing tennis, which is what i decided i would want to do if i ever had a jucid dream

Keep trying. Trouble is, people get excited when they realise they're dreaming and sometimes that can make you lose power. Don't try too hard to do things either, they should take next to no effort to do. if it isnt working you could try shouting "INCREASE LUCIDITY NOW!!" or you could try shouting at a dream character.debo326 wrote:i also had a lucid dream, just last night. it was my first one i've ever had, and i know cuz i was thinking "it's so cool i can go anywhere in an instant cuz i'm dreaming!" but i still couldn't control it. i didn't really try, probably cuz i didn't realize i knew i was dreaming (if that makes any sense ) but i was playing tennis, which is what i decided i would want to do if i ever had a jucid dream
