Would it be possible to create one which alters your perception and to make you see everything as brighter (not actually being able to see in pitch black but being able to see better in darker environments - like if you are in a dark place for a while and you start to see better)?

That'd be cool.

Or, check this out -- take your cell phone, make sure the screen light is on, hold it sideways, and put it up to one of your eyes. Keep both your eyes open and stare out into the dark spaces. Pretty cool. Works well at night
