Hearing impairment affecting the effectiveness?

Hi
Here's the thing. I have perfect hearing in my left ear, but in my right ear I have a hearing impairment. I'm not entirely deaf in it, but maybe with.. 60% decreased hearing.
So what I wanted to know is, will Binaural beats work for me considering this? Does it affect it at all?
If I lift my earphones from my good ear I can hear the beats in my damaged ear, but rather faintly.
Note that I have tried listening to Bineraul beats using Brainwave Generator, and it has shown effects of relaxation and mood swings depending on the preset. Of course this could all be placebo. So I just wanted a straight answer to this
