Yesterday I went over to my friend's house. It turned out that he had some I-Doses so we tried some of them by plugging in two headsets into the computer.

The one we did was 5HTP.

I was laying down when listening to it and somewhere in the middle of the dose, I noticed my body was feeling heavier and could hear high pitched ringing in my ears. (the dose wasn't on very high)

I tried to lift my hands and noticed that they were like 20 pounds heavier.

Is that what was supposed to happen?

not sure, its supposed to help you become happy again its like an Antidepressant, try another dose like Marijuana or Trip see what happens i can suggest or try that dose again and see if the same reaction happens
