I've been working with binaurals for over a year now and in-ear buds work fine, i don't know where that rumor came from, probably some dumb kid who was like "oh my god, i need the required headphones, i guess earphones will never work". The spaciness with headphones may sound a little trippier, but as far as entraining your brain is concerned earphones still produce the same tones in each ear. Earphones still play the same frequencies that will entrain your brain to different states, they still isolate each frequency to one ear, and they still block distracting background sounds that could disrupt the syncing process, so yes - earphones and headphones both work.

No problem, just trying to disspell the myths before they spread even more.

I listen to it off of my Mobile Phone MP3 Player (eq set to Rock) and it worked pretty good :-)

(btw I have a metal framed high bed with a desk underneath so my laptop doesnt reach that far)
