I had my first realization that I was in a dream last night. In my dream I was in Japan (i lived in japan when i was a kid). This was my second dream i had about japan, ohh it would have been so cool if I had been lucid. But anyways when i was in my dream , i realized it was a dream! I remember i said "hey this is a dream" But something happened and the dream just went with the flow and I became Unaware.
Ive been listening to lucid dream and had dreams because of it. I have listening to lucid dream for about 1 1/2 months now, and last night was my first short realization.
Is there any way I can stay aware of my dream in a more effective way?
idoser rules!!

Write on a piece of paper, THIS IS NOT A DREAM. Look at it through out the day for a series of days and carefully read it each time. Then in your dream you should do the same thing, if the words look distorted then its a dream. I read this somewhere but have not tried it. If you can say in your dream, this is a dream then look at the paper and prove it then you may get your lucid dream.

Try holding your nose and breathing through it in real life. If you keep doing it you might do it in a dream and usally in dreams you can still breath through your nose if you hold it i think =P
Its called a reality check btw =P

Ya, when i first started LDing i did that RC, usually now i can just tell whether it's a dream or not, but the nose plug RC is by far my favorite.

And it seems a lot easier than the note thing too. Thanks, I might try that out too.
