It means when you believe in something so much that your brain literally makes it happen.

The placebo effect (or its counterpart, the nocebo effect), occurs when a patient's symptoms are altered in some way due to the individual expecting or believing that it will work.

Placebos are sugar pills, given by doctors to people with minor problems... If people believe its a cure, then so does their mind, causing whatever problem they had to go away on its own.. Placebo effect works the same way, people think that I-doser puts the description and effects up when you select a dose, so your mind knows what to "fake" after the dose.. but from personal experience, I can say this program is in no way fake.

sugar pills are examples, not the only placebo that exists.

A placebo can for example be at a party:
A guy drinks a beer, and after 3 mins he says: "Oh man, im SO drunk!"
But he isnt really, Hes just Acting if he was, and he also feels like hes Drunk.

A placebo is when you believe something will work, so it does. Even if you don't think you are thinking it will work, it might still work (confusing I know
)
