Being as results are so variable for each person it would be a trial and error each time, as with certain medications. I know for a fact some of them can stimulate pain, and that some of them are good at putting it away, as for having any long term effects none of the doses last too long. You can read this, http://www.i-doser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5832

And I believe Camera states that he has late growing pains and Anesthesia works for him when he's aching. That's all I know

Anestesia works great, not for long though. I actually used the QH version, so I would imagine the full version would provide more relief, with a longer duration. My growing pain, and pains from my knee injury vanish when using it. Although I dont know what kind of patients OP has, as long as its minor pain, it should help. Be careful, not ALL people are helped by these tones, and many will not be used to them right away.

I also suggest vico. Another great pain reliever, though i've never used it when my legs were throbbing.
