How do the effects start? (same as lucid dreaming?)

Hi!
If possible I would like a more indepth explanation about the whole process. How do the effects start showing up?
I have done some lucid dreaming in the past and under right conditions I have been able to paralyze my body when listening to psychedelic electronic music without drugs. I haven't practised these things very often though and it's a difficult process for me, because I have troubles concentrating when I'm too hyped up about the effects. I think I need more practice with the meditation part, but then again I read someone say that meditation knowledge isn't necessary for it to work?
What I would like to know is if I-doser is comparable to the process of lucid dreaming/out-of-body-experience. Is the I-doser process more difficult or easier? Is the objective to have my body paralyzed for the dose to take effect or will it become when my body is fully conscious? Maybe it's a completely different feeling than lucid dreaming practice?
Yesterday I tried a few doses (maybe 2 hours of worth), but with no luck so far. I could almost paralyze my body and I could feel the energy flowing through my body, but I could not feel any drug-like effects. With some doses I was able to do this twirl thing inside my head when I feel like I'm in a rollercoaster. I get this same effect when smoking pot and looking up so far that my eyes hurt, but it doesn't really lead me to a trip or anything with i-doser because I get too hyped up or it isn't even supposed to go that way
I must say I should be sensitive to this kind of sound, because I listen to many kinds of experimental music and I'm openminded to it. I think my focus needs practice.. but I would just like to know what I am supposed to feel immediately when the dose is effective and does my body have to be numb or conscious and does the effect involve this rollercoaster effect in the mind?
