"Alpha waves typically occur right before one goes to sleep, or as one wakes.

At this time the mind is clear, receptive to information, and rapidly makes 'connections', realizations and joins up thoughts.

Many an 'AHA!' or 'EUREKA' moment comes at these times.

This was no doubt the state that Archimedes was in a good relaxed state when he launched himself out of the bath and down the street in his birthday suit.

The state is also great for releasing stress."

Experience:

So i decided to try some PURE doses and I wanted to start with Alpha considering the Alpha state seems perfect for my mood right now, relaxed/alert/creative. At about 20-30% in i started looking out my downtown window in san diego and let my mind wander. I saw a pair of designer PONY shoes hanging in front of someone's apartment window. I started to get ideas like "why are those shoes there, why don't I design cool shoes, did people just get a bunch of fabric in their basement and put together their own shoe one day and their idea caught on with the hip kids?, can people really be creative nowadays that everything has been done and there are too many big corporations to compete against?....etc." I NEVER THINK LIKE THIS and it was really fun.

The dose just ended and I feel like my breathing has slowed, my eyes are heavy but with no need to close, overall im relaxed and enjoy typing this right now. I must say Alpha waves are great for spurring creative thought and overall well being. Slight headache though since it gets high pitched towards the end which keeps it from being a 8.

Rating: 7/10

Please share your alpha or any other PURE experiences and which ones you like most!

I tried gamma once while playing Counter-Strike: Source (computer game) and my reactions were so much faster. It's like I could just absorb information and react at such a faster rate. As if my brain was performing at it's absolute best, more then awake. It was really cool, because I could just think so unbelievably clearly that everything I did was easy. It's a great dose for playing video games, as it increases your reaction time and you make decisions quicker.

Oh and by the way to avoid headaches I would suggest turning down the volume just a bit. Sometimes there can be pitches that are annoying, but all you have to do is turn it down a few notches to a comfortable volume. You'll still get all the effects, it's just the a headache wont be one of them. :D

Honestly though, you don't have to have it at a loud volume for it to work, it can actually be quite quiet and still work.

Not too quiet though. You have to be able to concentrate on the sound.

True.

Still, I've never gotten a headache from I-Doser. I can see how you might at higher volumes though.

Most people here have been talking about what happened when they did other things WHILE listening to alpha. As for me, I just laid down, covered my eyes, and listened to it. Not sure if this was supposed to happen, but I laid down and crossed my hands on my stomach, my left hand underneath the right. Nothing happened at first, except for the usual REM. Then, about halfway through, my left hand started to drag itself out from underneath the right. By the time the track ended, my left hand was laying beside my head. No idea if I was just sugar-pilling myself, but I found the reaction interesting. Anyone else try it this way?
