On the iphone version of trip there's a woman talking for the entire thing. She's talking in a mumble the entire time, it was somewhat annoying. But towards the end I started to understand what she was saying. At certain times it was completely clear, other times it was in a mumble. I made out ,"I don't feel safe, you know? I don't feel safe." and something about houses. So what I'm wondering is, is this from the dose? Can I hear her more clearly because trip like clarifies your mind? Is it was because I was more relaxed and focused? Could I only hear her because I wasn't thinking about anything else? Or was it the soundtrack- did she become more easy to understand and then not again on and off?

i'm ganna say defiantly not. it must be included with the sound track... there's no way I'm hearing the phenomena thing from the dose b/c I did it twice and she was saying the same thing each time. she keeps talking about how she's afraid to speak in crowds because her neighborhood is dangerous and people get hurt and she doesn't feel safe.

Does anyone have the ipod app and trip on it who can relate?

If it is EVP that is occurring, you would obviously hear the same thing each time, since your mind would interpret it the same way each time. I haven't listened to the doses on the iPhone app myself so it's hard for me to know.

Try having a friend listen to it and see if they hear the same thing. Don't tell them about the voice you're hearing or what it's saying, because if you do then they might hear it just because you mentioned it.

ok, I'll do that. I still doubt its EVP, it sounds too realistic, and she gets louder and easier to understand at the same parts.

NO it's NOT EVP! The Trip track does include a woman talking, and I know what you're talking about. It's not your mind, the clarity of the voice actually does change somewhat throughout the dose. I think I heard her reading things from the users' manual in the beginning, but I can't be sure. This is one of my favorite doses.

The changes in the clearness of the speech is probably just caused by a moving filter frequency level.

There are voices that back the tones in the Trip dose.

How do you know? Is it just really audible?

Yeah, they get the for a lot of the doses from the Recreational simulations CDs.
Actually, that has nothing to do with how I know, but if you preview it, there's noise in the background for almost every single one, not just the tones.
