Is this a good way to begin?

Like it would seem the overwhelming majority here, I-doser isn't working all that well for me to start off with. I have felt some weird muscle twitches, but that is about it. So I'd like to ask if you believe I am going about this the right way in order to hopefully begin feeling effects.
What I am currently doing is trying out different Quick Hits, in order to get my brain used to this idea. While I do these, I lay my head down on my pillows, and just lay in my bed for the duration. I currently keep my eyes closed, and count each breath that I take.
In between each dose I go on my computer and listen to "Reset", while browsing the web. Does this also need to be done without distractions, or will it work the way I am currently doing it?
Is this a good method, and are there ways of improving it? I would like this to work, and do not plan on giving up on it, so any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
