Drug charges and college

I just got a simple possession charge and a paraphernalia charge. Im leaving for college in 2 weeks and have about 27k in financial aid. Are they going to throw me out or cancel my financial aid. Im very worried about this and if i get thrown out of college, my life is pretty much over. Im also curious about the fines ill get for a first offense.
