First of all I want to start by saying that even though this is my first post on Idoser, I am a long time audiophile and have personally owned quite a number of headphones and earbuds. I reccomend headphones over earbuds since they sound WAY better. I will be posting some cheaper models as well as some more expensive ones over the years I have found 4 models that to me seem particularly balanced. Of course the more expensive they are the better they sound, usually. One more note prefer closed circumaural headphones;closed meaning they block out external sound to a certain degree and circumaural meaning that they fir around your ear and don't rest on it like aupraural headphones would. So without further ado let us commence.

First some Words to Know

Bass Quality

A general measure of the quality of the bass. Are frequencies reproduced accurately, or do they result in a "boomy" sound?

Detail

Can you hear the slightest nuance of the music? Can you hear the singers lips spack, their breathing, and the small detailed high sounds?

Highs Quality

The quality of the high frequency sounds.

Isolation

How well external noises are kept out of the headphones. For open headphones please enter a score of 0.

Mids Quality

The quality of the middle frequencies, typically around the range of the human voice.

Burn In factor

Every pair of headphoes takes some time to burn in but when they do they sound alot better than when you first bought them.

Ps. Im a very big Sennheiser Fan ;-)

Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones

These headphones are overall very good they have a decent price and they sound fairly well. The bass can go very deep without getting a boomy sound and the mids and highs are very well balanced, so mids don't dominate highs vice versa. Also these headphones have the best clamp :unibrow: of any model I have ever used. However they are pretty bulky when it comes to weight and size and are also sensitive so they do break easily. Overall I recommend this model if you are not gonna be carrying them arround constantly. The average price in the internet for these is 80$. BTW in the picturen they don't seem as bulky however while you use them they are also I have not used these with idoser I owned them some time ago and I discovered Idoser a couple of days ago, I have a firm belief that these should work well since the sound with other types of music is good.

Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Headphones

These headphones I find sort of lacking with most music types  however with Idoser these ARE good. They do provide the effects of the dose however since they are wireless they do trade off quality especially with other types of music. When it comes to mid/bass/highs these are also pretty balanced and when compared to the other wireless models available these are some of the best. Final word on these good for Idoser not bad with other music genres however I prefer a set of headphones with a cable. The price on these online is average around......I forgot check at the Officaial Headphone Idoser thread :p .

The price on these cool looking little headphones may only be 60$ however these headphones are very good for what they cost. I have tested them with Idoser and I felt the effects of the doses. These are pretty good with highs and bass. Mids however at least for me can sometimes sound a little bit too far away possibly becasue of the large soundstage. Still you can't ask much more than thios from some 60$ headphones :D . One more thing though I have read some online reviews that these headphones sound can sometimes vary im not sure why but at least mine sound pretty good.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Headphones

I have been a very big Sennheiser fan for a long time a couple of weeks ago I decided to try a new brand so I bought these headphones. I was however suprised to find out that these headphones the best I have tried yet. Prices range from about 120$ to about 150$ but these sound like 220$ Sennheiser I highly reccoend these especially if you like to listen to techno, trance , dubstep, hardstyle, etc. 8) eargasm ;-) modtly because they have VERY good mids/highs and bass *very rare*. I have also tested these with Idoser and they work just as good as the Idoser recommended ones or any pair of good headphones. Only issue I have noticed is when using them for movies or games that the soundstage sometimes sounds a little bit far off but it dioesn't really affect when you are hearing music. Also after the burn in these headphones sound even better.
