Dosing while high

I'm wondering what anyone else's experiences have been with this (if anyone has even had any). the first time I ever listened to a dose I was high and listened to peyote. I didn't close my eyes and I wasn't really focusing on the beats (I was just going about my business on the internet as I normally would), but nevertheless I felt like I was swinging back and forth really far, like on a pirate ship ride or something, though the direction was always random. I also got some visual distortions, where everything seemed tilted and/or stretched out.
Now the thing is, while the motion feeling happens initially with each dose I do high, and sometimes I still get distorted vision, it seems like the effects are somehow caused by the dose, but are independent of the dose. By this I mean, if I continue to listen to the dose, even if I do it properly with closed eyes and laying down relaxed, the effects don't intensify as they would if they were affected by the dose. In fact they seem to go away after a few minutes. It also seems to make the dose itself less effective as a whole, because I feel almost nothing by the end of the dose, except for the high I had before even starting. So I've been wondering, would being high change your brainwaves so that the dose doesn't do it's job right? That seems like it would explain why the effects of the dose seem backwards.
