Demerol, the pre-surgery drug you get before they put you under would be a nice one to get. I remember the few times I've had surgery.. once they give you that one, the world is great, and your neck feels like a noodle, unable to hold your head straight.

I concentrate on the "wub-wub" personally. It reminds me of a heartbeat, it's very soothing. I listen to the beat and feel if my pulse is responding in time to the noise.
