Set the volume much lower. It needs to be just loud enough to clear hear the white noise. It sounds like you are using the PC version? Set the master volume of your PC to 50% and then set the i-doser volume to a lower level too.

On the iPod I set the level between 40 and 60%.

I listen on my ipod and keep the volume 40-60%. You want a good signal over any noise, but you definitely want to avoid distortion so don't crank the volume too loud. I'm not a doctor, but my opinion is that the doses do not have any type of chemical effect, so as long as your real life drug use is as prescribed and safe you should not have any increased danger, but it sounds like you don't need the dose!

Nitrous makes me light headed and I can feel like I am floating and kind of numb. Lately the effects have lingered for 10 - 20 minutes after the dose which is cool. I sometimes smile a lot and occassionally have a convulsive giggle at the end, but that is rare.

The quick hit pack is good, but I don't recommend it if you are a beginner. You will get better results from the 15 minute iPod or MP3 doses.
